OUR COMPANY

Since 1993 we have provided expert real estate services to the Fairfield County and Westchester County communities.   Over time, as our clients have requested it, we have evolved to include construction and brokerage services as well. The Allen Companies have grown while never losing our focus on satisfying the individual needs of our clients.  

It has always been our mission to provide a higher level of service than our competitors.  Our success is a direct result of our commitment to hiring the best individuals for the job.  Our “corporate culture” was early defined as one in which all employees would participate in the management, and therefore successes, of the company.  We all take great pride in our accomplishments.

Our People

Greg Helms, President

Greg came from a career in hospitality management after earning his BS in Hotel, Restaurant & Travel Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.   In founding The Allen Companies, his vision was to establish an organization that led the industry in customer service, which skills he learned through many years’ training with the Marriott Corporation and others.  Greg was not to be content with operating a “run-of-the-mill” property management business, and he sees his strength as having hired the best management team on the planet!

Anne Griesmer, Director of Operations

With her extensive background in real estate, management and finance, Anne plays a crucial role for The Allen Companies.  Anne has a BS in Economics from Southern Connecticut State University.   She has managed projects for the State of Connecticut, Boards of Education, private corporations and the general public.  She has implemented employee assistance and managed care programs for mental health and substance abuse benefits.  In 1991, Anne became part of an audit team brought in by the Resolution Trust Corp. to identify and define the assets of failed banks in New Hampshire and Connecticut.  Becoming a highly skilled specialist in analyzing problematic real estate loans, she played a lead role in locating repossessed property assets.  Her responsibilities at the Allen Companies include overseeing both the management and accounting divisions.

Christina Helms, Director of Sales & Marketing

Following graduation from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Chris worked first in the hospitality industry, and then in the pharmaceutical industry.  Her professional career has earned her awards for excellence in both customer service and sales & marketing.  Chris’ leadership in these areas has been invaluable to the long term relationships we have established with our clients.
